The 2026 ACDA Costa Rica National Choral Festival brought together 28 choirs and 22 conductors across multiple venues. For Forest Melodies Costa Rica, it was a celebration of how far our choral community has come and of what we can build together next.
Some musical experiences stay with you long after the final note. This year’s ACDA Costa Rica National Choral Festival was one of them.
Across different venues, 28 choirs led by 22 conductors shared their music with audiences and with one another. We witnessed remarkable vocal quality, thoughtful interpretation and a deep sense of responsibility toward the music. Many of the ensembles presented work worthy of an international stage.
For those of us who have followed Costa Rica’s choral development over the years, this felt like a defining moment. In our view, it was the finest national choral festival held in the country since 1981.
