This year, Klio Coral celebrates a decade of artistic excellence with a series of events that bring together music, memories, and community. The celebration includes two concerts in July—one at Tremedal Church and another at the Main Hall of the University of Costa Rica—venues that have played an important role in the choir’s journey.
As the culmination of this first stage of the anniversary celebration, Klio Coral will present a Gala Concert at the National Theatre of Costa Rica, featuring interdisciplinary artistic elements that will create a richer and more meaningful performance experience.
In August, the celebration will continue with an exhibition at the Regional Museum of San Ramón, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the choir’s history and legacy over the past ten years.
As part of this milestone year, the choir will also participate in the 9th ACDA National Choral Festival in September and the International Festival for Mother Earth in November.
Adding to this landmark year, Klio Coral is preparing to take part, for the first time in its history, in an International Choral Competition.
Each of these events has been designed not only as a tribute to the journey of the past decade, but also as an invitation to continue building new chapters for Klio Coral through the power of collective singing.
Este año, Klio Coral celebra una década de vida artística con una serie de eventos que reúnen música, memoria y comunidad. La celebración incluye dos conciertos en julio, uno en la Iglesia del Tremedal y otro en la Sala Magna de la Universidad de Costa Rica, espacios que han sido parte importante del recorrido del coro.
Como cierre de esta primera etapa, se realizará un concierto de gala en el Teatro Nacional, que incorporará elementos interdisciplinarios para ofrecer una experiencia escénica más amplia y significativa.
En agosto, la celebración continuará con una exposición en el Museo Regional de San Ramón, que permitirá al público conocer más de cerca la historia y el legado del coro a lo largo de estos diez años.
Además, como parte de este año de festejo, el coro participará en setiembre en la 9na edición del Festival Nacional de Coros ACDA, y en noviembre en el Festival Internacional Por la Madre Tierra.
A esto se suma un hito especial: Klio Coral se prepara para participar, por primera vez en su historia, en un Concurso Internacional.
Cada actividad ha sido pensada no solo como un homenaje al camino recorrido, sino también como una invitación a seguir construyendo, desde el canto colectivo, nuevos capítulos para Klio Coral.
