Allan Salas Ureña
Customer Experience
Allan is a passionate lover of the arts, especially choral music, where he has over 34 years of experience singing with different ensembles in Costa Rica. With these groups, he has taken part in 28 international tours across North, Central, and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia.
He has also worked on the production teams of some of Costa Rica’s most important cultural events, such as the International Arts Festival (FIA), the National Arts Festival (FNA), the International Film Festival (CRFIC), the International Book Fair (FILCR), and the National Culture Awards, building over 10 years of experience in cultural management. In addition, he was the producer and director of the four editions of the International Choral Festival Alajuela Canta, organized by the Municipality of Alajuela.
Since 2012, Allan has been a proud member of Café Chorale, a choir that has received the National Culture Award three times and the Áncora Prize twice. He has also served as the president of the ensemble since 2015.
With his wide experience and deep knowledge of Costa Rica’s artistic and musical scene, Allan specializes in designing tailor-made itineraries for international groups visiting the country. His work includes coordinating accommodation, transportation, meals, sightseeing, concerts, collaborations with Costa Rican ensembles, workshops, and masterclasses, always ensuring unique cultural experiences of the highest quality. His goal is for every participant to make the most of their time in Costa Rica and fully embrace the authentic “Pura Vida Lifestyle.”
Allan also regularly attends regional and national conferences of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) in the United States, where he keeps up with the latest global choral trends and engages with directors, composers, and arrangers to foster the growth of the choral movement in Costa Rica.
In March 2025, he was invited to the ACDA National Conference in Dallas as a panelist in the World Choral Experts Roundtable, where he shared the wonders and advantages that Costa Rica offers as a destination for choirs, orchestras, symphonic bands, and rhythm ensembles wishing to tour and perform in the country.
